We have an immediate full-time opening for direct support staff to work in our residential areas.
Job Summary: Staff assist people we serve to lead self-directed lives & contribute to the community. Assist with ADL’s if needed and encourage attitudes & behaviors that enhance community inclusion. Acts as an advocate for the individual in communicating their needs, self expression & goals. Work directly with the people we serve teaching them self care, social and communication skills. Our mission is to “Educate and support individuals to discover their direction for life.” Depending on the needs of the people we support, you will provide assistance with daily living skills development, health maintenance and medication administration, personal care, and behavioral development. Staff advocate for individuals to be fully integrated into community life.
Excellent benefit package provided for full-time staff. Hours will be Monday, Thursday and Friday 2:00 pm -11:00 pm and every other weekend 7:00 am - 9:00 pm. Dress code is casual wear. Southeastern operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Must be able to work weekends and holidays when necessary.
Qualification: Eighteen years of age and a minimum of a high school education or equivalent. Must have a current driver’s license, car insurance and a clear driving record. Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check, to include fingerprinting, drug screening, TB test and a physical. Must have intermediate typing skills with knowledge of basic internet / e-mail use. EOE
