When it comes to the mental health needs of your family, you want someone who will recognize and address your individual and unique behavioral health service needs. At Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare, we provide behavioral and mental health therapy for all ages, from children to seniors. Our mental health service professionals develop a personalized approach with treatment options unique to every situation, and we are ready to help you.

Children's Services

Mental health needs can develop at any age.

Helping children cope while limiting their stress is important for a healthy, happy childhood. Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare offers several forms of therapy to help children do just that, including individualized play-based activities known as play therapy. Play therapy is also utilized in early intervention for children with the aim of helping them learn to express themselves.

Adult Services

Here at Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare, we offer a wide variety of adult outpatient services for those with mild to moderate emotional disorders, to those with more complex mental health needs.

Some of the more common emotional disorders we treat include:

  • Generalized anxiety disorder
  • Social phobias
  • Panic disorder
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Emotional disorders such as those mentioned are generally the result of trauma through physical injury, chronic abuse or neglect, sexual assault, bullying, and more.

Care at All Levels

Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare works with our clients to develop a personalized plan to meet each of their needs, whether dealing with common emotional disorders, drug or alcohol addiction, phobias, or obsessive-compulsive disorder. Treatment includes individual therapy and may also include family therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and medication.

And there is more. For teenagers from 15 to adults reaching their 40th birthday, our On-Track SD offers an early intervention program for those experiencing their First Episode of Psychosis (FEP).

Additionally, Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare has a Homeless Outreach Program, offering support to help stabilize symptoms for individuals who are homeless and living with Serious Mental Illness, while promoting independent living.

Our transitional housing program provides a safe and stable home with services for adults struggling with mental illness and substance abuse. Our clients are offered onsite care, including fully furnished units with linens, a mini fridge, and hygiene products, personalized treatment plans including individual and group therapy, treatment for substance abuse if needed, and employment assistance.

Education & Integration

Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare also addresses the needs of those with developmental disabilities through our accredited program and personalized education and integrative plans. This program serves children and adults, and we are certified by the South Dakota Division of Development Disabilities and approved by the South Dakota Department of Education.

We offer consultation and nursing services, and our adult day service includes social activities, life skills, and vocational development.
